Welcome to Doxie Blooms – a little world where flowers and dachshunds come together in joyful harmony.
I’ve always been passionate about two things: flowers and dachshunds. It might sound like an unusual combination at first, but to me, it makes perfect sense. Both bring so much beauty and happiness into the world, and combining them felt like the most natural thing I could do.
The true spark for Doxie Blooms came from Alfie – my sweet dachshund and daily reminder to play. Alfie approaches life with such innocence and joy, and being around him reminded me how essential it is to make time for play, no matter how old you are. Watching him live in the moment inspired me to do the same, especially through creating floral arrangements.
When I’m working with flowers, the rest of the world fades away. It’s just me, the blooms, and a quiet sense of peace. Arranging is more than a creative outlet – it’s a kind of meditation. Every petal placed is a moment of mindfulness, a spark of joy. My hope is that this energy—this joy—transfers into every piece I create, and that it finds its way to you in the most beautiful way.
